๐ What does melting face mean?
A yellow smiley face slowly losing structural integrity โ features sliding down as if subjected to intense, sustained heat. One of the most expressive additions from Unicode 14.0 in 2021. Used for extreme heat, physical or emotional exhaustion, embarrassment so acute it's causing a kind of collapse, or just the general feeling of barely holding it together. The smile makes it tragicomic: the face is fully aware of what's happening and choosing to keep grinning through it. Pairs well with any situation where the correct response is to simply dissolve.

๐ซ Melting Face vs ๐ฅต Hot Face โ What's the difference?
Both relate to heat and overwhelm, but the expression type differs. ๐ฅต Hot Face (U+1F975) is physiologically overheated โ red face, visible effort, the straightforward expression of being too hot. ๐ซ Melting Face (U+1FAE0) is losing structural integrity entirely โ features sliding off, still technically smiling through its own collapse. ๐ฅต is the body reacting to heat; ๐ซ is the self giving up under sustained pressure. One is struggling to maintain; the other is already gone.
